Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers Crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2018
Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers was crowned as Miss Universe Great Britain 2018 on July 14, 2018 at The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre, Newport. She succeeds Anna Burdzy as the new Miss Universe Great Britain and will now represent the nation at Miss Universe 2018 wherein Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will crown her successor as next Miss Universe.
Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers becomes the first ever Black woman to be crowned Miss Universe Great Britain. The newly crowned beauty queen is 25 years old and holds a degree in Law from the University of Birmingham. She loves to play football and has competed in the Commonwealth Games in athletics on two occasions.
During the same event, Simren Vernon was titled as the first runner-up and Cara Bianca Frew was adjudged as the second runner-up.
Great Britain last placed at Miss Universe pageant in 2017 when Anna Burdzy was adjudged as Top 16 semi-finalist.
