Ysabel Bisnath Crowned Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2018
Ysabel Bisnath was crowned as Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2018 on August 5, 2018 at National Academy for the Performing Art – Lord Kitchener Auditorium in Napa, Port of Spain. She succeeds Chandini Chanka as the new Miss World Trinidad and Tobago and will now represent Trinidad and Tobago at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.
The newly crowned beauty queen hails from Port of Spain and is an Attorny-in-Law, having received her LLB from Oxford University and her Masters degree from King’s College. She is very well versed in French, Spanish and Italian.
During the same event, Britney Smith was titled as the first runner up and Tishanna Mitchell was adjudged as the second runner up.
Trinidad and Tobago has won one Miss World crown under the courtesy of Giselle Laronde, who was crowned as Miss World 1986. The country last placed at Miss World pageant in 2014 when Sarah Jane Waddell was adjudged as Top 25 semi-finalist.
