Linzi McLelland Crowned Miss World Scotland 2018
Linzi McLelland of East Killbride was crowned as Miss World Scotland 2018 on June 15, 2018 at the Corinthian Club in Glasgow during the grand finale of Miss Scotland 2018. She succeeds Romy McCahill as the new Miss Scotland and will now represent the country at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.
A flight attendant by profession, Linzi McLelland has spent the last two years touring the world, from the Great Wall of China to Rio’s Christ the Redeemer. She has been a renowned face in pageant industry, having won two beauty pageants, Miss Galaxy Glasgow and Miss British Empire Scotland.
Scotland last placed at Miss World pageant in 2015 when Mhairi Fergusson was adjudged as the Top 20 semi-finalist. The country is yet to win its first Miss World crown and has came closest to winning Miss World back in 2001 when Juliet-Jane Horne was titled as the second runner up.
