Fatem Suy Crowned Miss World Côte d’Ivoire 2018
Fatem Suy was crowned as Miss World Côte d’Ivoire 2018 during the grand finale of Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2018, which took place on June 2, 2018 at the Palais des Congrès Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivory. She succeeds Mandjalia Gbané as the new Miss World Côte d’Ivoire and will now represent her country at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.
During the same event, Jemima Gbato was titled as the first runner up, Bakayoko Lathy was adjudged as the second runner up, Assadiya Kouablan was announced as the third runner up and Mélissa Sery finished as the fourth runner up.
Côte d’Ivoire has been participating at Miss World pageant since 1956 but has never managed to secure a placement. However, the nation has placed in various sub-contests at several occasions.
