Thulisa Keyi Crowned Miss World South Africa 2018
Thulisa Keyi from Eastern Cape was crowned as the new Miss World South Africa during the 60th edition of Miss South Africa, which took place on May 27, 2018 at the Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria. She succeeds Adè van Heerden as the new Miss World South Africa and will now represent South Africa at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.
26 years old, Thulisa Keyi originally hails from East London in the Eastern Cape and currently resides in Gauteng. She has graduated from the University of Cape Town.
South Africa has won three Miss World crowns in the courtesy of Penelope Anne Coelen (Miss World 1958), Anneline Kriel (Miss World 1974) and Rolene Strauss (Miss World 2014).
During the same event, Tamaryn Green from Western Cape was crowned as Miss Universe South Africa 2018. Tamaryn will now be vying for a back to back victory for South Africa at Miss Universe 2018 hoping to succeed Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters as next Miss Universe.
