Sarah Rose Summers From Nebraska Wins Miss USA 2018
Sarah Rose Summers from Nebraska was crowned as Miss USA 2018 in the grand finale of the 67th edition of Miss USA pageant which took place on May 21, 2018 at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. She succeeds Kára McCullough of the District of Columbia as the new Miss USA and will now represent the United States of America at Miss Universe 2018, hoping to succeed Demi Leigh Nel Peters of South Africa as the next Miss Universe.
She became the first woman from Nebraska to win the title of Miss USA. 23 years old, Sarah was crowned as Miss Nebraska Teen USA in 2012.
During the same event, Caelynn Miller Keyes of North Carolina emerged as the first runner up while Carolina Urrea of Nevada was titled as the second runner up. Génesis Dávila of Florida and Madison Nipe from South Dakota rounded up the Top 5 finalist spot.
The grand finale of Miss USA 2018 was hosted by Vanessa and Nick Lachey, while Carson Kressley and Lu Sierra served as commentators. Additionally, it featured performances by 98 Degrees and Lee Brice.
