Vanessa Ponce Crowned Miss Mundo Mexico 2018
Vanessa Ponce from Ciudad de México was crowned as Miss Mexico 2018 in the 2nd edition of the Miss Mexico pageant which took place on May 5, 2018 in the state of Quintana Roo. During the conclusion of the pageant, Andrea Meza from Chihuahua crowned Vanessa Ponce as the new Miss World Mexico, who will now represent Mexico at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.
During the same event, Minerva Luna from Quintana Roo was titled as the first runner up and Diana Romero from Sinaloa was adjudged as the second runner up.
Mexico is yet to win its first Miss World crown. Last year, Andrea Meza from Mexico was titled as the first runner up to Miss World 2017. Hence, the hopes are high from the country this time as well.
