Qin Meisu Wins Miss Universe China 2018
Qin Meisu was crowned as Miss Universe China 2018 on April 28, 2018. She succeeds Roxette Qiu as the new Miss Universe China, who was adjudged as Top 16 semi-finalist in the recently concluded Miss Universe edition. Qin Meisu will now represent China at Miss Universe 2018 wherein Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will crown her successor as next Miss Universe.
Qin Meisu is a known name in pageant industry. Last year, she was adjudged as the second runner-up at Miss Universe China pageant. The newly crowned Miss Universe China 2018 stands 1.79 meters tall and is twenty two years old. She is a renowned model, having modeled for various brands in different countries like Canada, Italy and Korea.
China has been participating at Miss Universe pageant since 2000 and despite of having several runners up in the courtesy of Zhuo Ling and Luo Zilin, the country is yet to win its first Miss Universe crown.
China would be seen hosting the 68th edition of Miss World pageant again in Sanya on December 8, 2018. There were speculations that the nation might also host the Miss Universe pageant, but it seems that the news doing round was only a rumor.
