Mexicana Universal 2018- Meet The Contestants
The first edition of Mexicana Universal 2018 is slated to take place on May 27, 2018. During the conclusion of the pageant, the outgoing titleholder, Denisse Franco, who was chosen as Miss Universe Mexico via Nuestra Belleza México pageant, will crown her successor as the new Miss Universe Mexico to represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2018 wherein Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will crown her successor as next Miss Universe.

At the same event, Citlaly Higuera López will crown her successor as the new Miss International Mexico, who will then represent the country at Miss International 2018, wherein Kevin Lilliana of Indonesia will crown her successor as the next Miss International.
This year thirty two delegates will be representing their states at Mexicana Universal pageant. The coronation gala of Mexicana Universal 2018 will broadcast at TV Azteca.
Mexico has won two Miss Universe crowns in the courtesy of Lupita Jones (Miss Universe 1991) and Ximena Navarrete (Miss Universe 2010). Mexico last placed at Miss Universe pageant in 2016 when Yuselmi Cristal Silva Dávila was adjudged as Top 10 semi-finalist. Meanwhile, Mexico has also won two Miss International crowns in the courtesy of Priscila Perales Elizondo (Miss International 2007) and Anagabriela Espinoza Marroquín (Miss International 2009). Mexico last placed at Miss International pageant in 2016 when Anagabriela Espinoza Marroquín was adjudged as Top 15 semi-finalist.
