Liliane Iradukunda Crowned Miss World Rwanda 2018
Liliane Iradukunda from Western province was crowned as Miss World Rwanda 2018 in the coronation eve of Miss Rwanda 2018 on February 24, 2018 at the Kigali Convention Center, Kigali, Rwanda. She succeeds Elsa Iradukunda as the new Miss World Rwanda and will now represent Rwanda at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.
18 years old, Liliane Iradukunda defeated 19 other candidates to claim the title of Miss Rwanda 2018. During the same event, Umunyana Shanitah was titled as the first runner up and Irebe Natacha Ursule was adjudged as the second runner up. Meanwhile, Liliane Iradukunda also bagged the title of Miss Photogenic, while Liliane Uwase Ndahiro won the subtitle of Miss Congeniality and Lydia Dushimimana bagged the subtitle of Miss Heritage.
Rwanda first competed at Miss World in the year 2016 under the representation of Jolly Mutesi. The country has never made the cut to quarter- finals at the Miss World pageant yet.
