Road to Miss World Gibraltar 2018
The grand finale of Miss Gibraltar 2018 is slated to take place at at John Mackintosh Square on June 30, 2018. During the conclusion of the pageant, Jodie Garcia will crown her successor as the new Miss World Gibraltar, who will then represent Gibraltar at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.
The Miss Gibraltar pageant is headed by the Ministry of Culture and is produced by Santos Productions for HM Government of Gibraltar. The pageant has opened the registrations, inviting applicants all over the nation. Apart from that, the pageant is also offering a mini reward to the first ten candidates who will sign for the pageant by giving them a prize amount of £400.
The newly crowned Miss World Gibraltar 2018 will receive £2,000 cash and £3,500 clothing allowance as the prize. While the first runner up will be rewarded with £1,000 cash and £500 clothing allowance. Meanwhile, the second runner up will grab £500 cash and £500 clothing allowance as the winning reward.
The entry forms of Miss World Gibraltar 2018 are available from the John Mackintosh Hall at 308 Main Street. The screenings will commence from 5th February 2018 while the entries will close down by 24th February 2018.
While the winner of Miss Gibraltar represents the nation at Miss World pageant, it is expected the first runner up will represent the country at Miss International 2018, wherein Kevin Lilliana of Indonesia will crown her successor as the next Miss International.
Gibraltar last placed at Miss World pageant in 2013 when Maroua Kharbouch was titled with the People’s Choice Award, thereby attaining a position in the Top 6 of Miss World 2013. Gibraltar has won the Miss World crown once under the representation of Kaiane Aldorino, who was crowned as Miss World 2009.
