Zara Josefa Mendes Wins Miss Guiné-Bissau 2018
Zara Josefa Mendes was crowned as Miss World Guinea Bissau 2018 in the grand finale of Miss Guiné-Bissau 2018, which was held on January 16, 2018. Zara Josefa Mendes succeeds Sandra Araújo as the representative of Guinea Bissau at Miss World pageant and will now represent the country at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.
The eighteen years old, Miss World Guinea Bissau 2018 stands 1.68 meters tall and is a Business Management and Administration student at Catholic University.
During the same event, Elunaida Natividade Gomes Lopes was titled as the first runner up and Fátima Quadé Duchring Sá Nogueira was adjudged as the second runner up to Miss Guinea Bissau 2018. Meanwhile, Viviane Nanduk took home the title of Miss Congeniality and Alberto Queba bagged the title of Miss Photogenic.
Guinea Bissau will be returning to the Miss World pageant after a hiatus of one year. The country is yet to win its first Miss World crown.
