Rethabile Thaathaa Wins Miss Lesotho 2018

Rethabile Thaathaa was crowned as Miss World Lesotho 2018 on December 22, 2017 at Manthabiseng Convention Centre. She succeeds Mpoi Mahao as new Miss World Lesotho and will now represent Lesotho at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.

Subsequent to winning Miss World Lesotho 2018, the newly crowned queen expressed her ecstasy saying, “My words to you: hard work pays! I worked so hard to achieve this, went beyond my capabilities, seeked advice and stayed courageous! Thank you to everyone who has supported me from scratch! Thank you God!”

Rethabile Thaathaa was crowned as the first Miss Queen of Tourism Lesotho in 2015. Later she went on to win the second runner-up title at Miss National University Lesotho. She had been modeling since 2010 and hopes to win the first Miss World crown for her country, Lesotho.

The coronation eve also witnessed the performances by Zagro Deejays, Juvy and Mookho Moqhali. The grand finale of Miss Lesotho 2018 was presented by Buhle Samuels, Moruti Mathe and Mojabeng Senekal. The contestants were judged by Alessandrio Bergman, Palesa Ramoshebi, Paledi Segapo, Karabelo Tsosane, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene (Miss South Africa 2016) and Alice Rowlands (Miss Universe Zambia 2010).
