Musa Kalaluka Wins Miss Zambia 2017
Musa Kalaluka from Lusaka was crowned as Miss World Zambia 2018 on December 16, 2017 at the New Government Complex in Lusaka. She succeeds Mary Chibula from Mongu as the new Miss World Zambia and will now represent Zambia at Miss World 2018 wherein Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor as next Miss World.
Post winning the right to represent Zambia at the coveted Miss World pageant, the newly crowned queen stated, “I am delighted to have won, and I didn’t expect it. Only God knows how I felt at that moment. I’d be lying if I said I did this all alone. I’m overwhelmed by the love and support I received throughout my journey.”
During the same event, Cecilia Aaba was titled as the first runner up and Nora Libetwa was adjudged as the second runner up.
Zambia has been participating at Miss World pageant since 1974 in irregular intervals. The country has never placed in semi-finals of Miss World pageant and is aspiring for its first ever Miss World crown.
