Khephra Sylvester is Miss British Virgin Islands 2017
Khephra Sylvester was crowned Miss British Virgin Islands 2017 during the grand finale of the pageant held on August 6, 2017 at the Multipurpose Sports Complex. Khepra succeeds Erika Creque and will now represent the British Virgin Islands at Miss Universe 2017 and Miss World 2017 Pageants.
During the same event, Helina Hewlett and Ayana Phillip were titled as the first runner up while Lean Francis was adjudged as the second runner up.
Khephra Sylvester was honored with the crown along with more than $5,000 in cash and many precious prizes like Toyota Yaris, jewellery and a $20,000 educational grant.
Subsequent to her win, the newly crowned Miss British Virgin Islands opined, “Oh my goodness, it feels good! At first, I was a little worried [that I would not win]. I was a little nervous, but the judges’ decision touched me when they said ‘Contestant #6. I probably think that my consistency is what helped me to win this title, because I only won two segments. I would assume that I was consistent in the others – high enough to put me to the top.”
Khephra Sylvester was also awarded with subtitles like Best in Intellect and Best in Interview.
What do you think about her chances at Miss World and Miss Universe pageants this year?
