Anukriti Gusain Crowned Femina Miss Grand International India 2017
Anukriti Gusain who represented the state of Uttarakhand at Femina Miss India 2017 will be representing India at Miss Grand International 2017. She succeeds Pankhuri Gidwani as Miss Grand India. The news was officially announced by Femina Miss India Organization in the live chat of Facebook handle on 17 July 2017.
Miss Grand International 2017 will be the fifth edition of the pageant and is scheduled to take place on 25 October 2017 in Vietnam, wherein the reigning Miss Grand International, Ariska Putri Pertiwi from Indonesia will be crowning her successor.
India has performed exceptionally well at the said pageant. Vartika Singh was the highest scoring representative from India at Miss Grand International being crowned as the second runner up in Miss Grand International 2015.
Apart from modelling, Anukriti Gusain is also a television presenter by profession. She has also represented India at Miss Asia Pacific World 2014 wherein she was adjudged as fourth runner up. She has also won many pageants like Femina Miss India Delhi 2013 and Bride of the World India 2013.
