Miss Universe 2016 Evening Gown Round: Post Preliminary Thoughts!
Miss Universe is the only pageant which keeps each and every pageant enthusiast glued to the updates throughout the pageant, and the preliminary competition last night just acted as the camphor to blazing fire. Yesterday, I revealed my ten favourite swimsuit performances in the preliminary competition of 65th edition of Miss Universe pageant and today I am here with my favourites in the evening gown segment of the very same event.
I am as thrilled as you all are to share my opinions, views and favourite performances before you, so let’s get started! In no particular order here are the best performances of the evening gown round in the prelims-
Argentina- Estefanía Bernal
That beautiful gown just became even more wonderful as soon as the poised lady took the stage by storm. She had fierceness, royalty and spunk to stun the audience. I am totally rooting for Argentina to do wonders on finale.
Colombia- Andrea Tovar
Andrea Tovar gave one of the best performances in the evening gown round. Although her gown seemed a bit hideous to me, her energetic and vibrant performance just took the eyes and hearts to another world.
France- Iris Mittenaere
If you were to ask me name only one woman who slayed the evening gown round, without a second thought I would have said France. What a queenly aura! She totally has the winner vibes in her personality and her regal performance definitely reflected the same.
Brazil- Raissa Santana
Brazil was fiercely commendable in the evening gown segment. The beautiful evening gown looked even gorgeous when worn by such a pretty woman who confidently flaunted its beauty on the prelims stage.
Philippines- Maxine Medina
Playful, radiant and sparkling would be few words to sum up Maxine Medina’s performance during the evening gown round of the prelims. She delivered it quite well.
Mexico- Kristal Silva
She knows how to do all the talking with those bold and expressive eyes. Kristal Silva burnt the stage with her poised yet magnificently fierce performance during the evening gown round. She has totally locked her spot in semi-finals if all goes well.
Nicaragua- Marina Jacoby
Elegant, charming and dainty is what Marina Jacoby redefines each times she takes over the stage. I am certainly expecting to see her performance once again in the finale eve, it would be really heartbreaking if such a stunning woman misses the cut.
Thailand- Chalita Suansane
Not a fan of the evening gown, but the way Chalita Suansane carried herself in the eveing gown is beyond praiseworthy. She aced the segment with those queenly expressions, bold eyes and sassy yet elegant walk.
Ukraine- Alena Spodynyuk
I am now a fan of Ukraine after seeing her royal performance in the evening gown round. Alena Spodynuk was talk of the pageant town right from the moment she was crowned as Miss Ukraine and her last night’s performance definitely assures why she is still in the running for the Miss Universe crown.
Venezuela- Mariam Habach
Swagger she owns and she knows it! Mariam Habach’s surprise element was totally cheered, appreciated and loved not just by the pageant enthusiasts but also the critics all around the world. Venezuela taught once again what it is to be the powerhouse of pageants!
So these are my favourites in the evening gown round of preliminary competition, do not forget to tell me who won your hearts in this segment in the comment section.
