The Best Winning Answer of 2016: The Year End Review!

Best of 2016: The Words To Remember!

The significance of the final question and answer round lies in the fact that it is considered to be “Make it or Mar it” moment of any beauty pageant. While 2016 has ended with glittering myriads of beauties representing their countries at different international arenas, let’s gauge at the witty, wise and shrewd winning answers of the queens of 2016, who earned the crown with their praiseworthy answers, confidence and poise exhibited in the final question and answer round.

As we all know, the final answer despite of having or not having a notable content is worthy of winning the pageant if answered with the right body language, confident voice and persuasive aura. Therefore, to claim if the content of the speech is not strong enough to win the crown is completely futile. So who had the best winning answer in 2016, let’s find out!

Miss International 2016,Kylie Verzosa from Philippines had the best winning answer among all the beauty queens in my opinion. Kylie was asked why should she win the crown of Miss International 2016, to which she answered,

“Three things come to mind when I think of Miss International: culture, education, and international understanding. These 3 work together to make the brand of the Miss International beauty pageant relevant to the global community and to our time. If I become Miss International 2016, I will devote myself to cultural understanding and international understanding because I believe that it is by developing in each of us sensitivity to other cultures that we expand our horizons, tolerate difference, and appreciate diversity. All this enables us to achieve international understanding. And I believe that I am prepared to take on this responsibility.”

Kylie Verzosa’s answer was on the point, precise and hit straight where it should have! Rather than beating the bush by talking about hypothetical scenarios, Kylie gave a lucid and clear-cut answer with an effervescently graceful body language, shimmering with poise and confidence. And there she was crowned as the sixth titleholder of Miss International from Philippines.

Another beautiful answer, which won the hearts, was from the mouth of the very gregarious beauty queen, Srinidhi Shetty, who was recently crowned as Miss Supranational 2016 in Poland. Unlike other pageants, the jury did not ask questions to the contestants, rather the Top 5 finalists were told to ask each other questions.

Srinidhi Shetty was asked by Miss Venezuela, what her biggest take away from this event was. Srinidhi replied, “Being part of a multitude of women from different countries and religions, all of whom were vying for a common goal yet staying happily under one roof, which was an enriching experience, and I would like to take this quality back with me.”

The idea of sisterhood, affability and outgoingness with her co-contestants not just won the hearts of the ladies competing with her for the title of Miss Supranational 2016, but also the hearts of jury sitting in the panel along with the fans watching the lovely ladies vie for the crown. Srinidhi’s honest yet humble answer truly deserved to win the prestigious title.

Another great answer which is worthy of being mentioned as one of the best winning answer of 2016 is Stephanie Del Valle’s answer at Miss World 2016. The gregarious Puerto Rican woman, slay the stage when she answered the final answer with her spontaneity. She was asked, “If you have an opportunity to change something about the world, what would it be?”

To which she opined, “If I have the opportunity to change something about the world, I think what I would do is send a message of how important it is to change exclusion for acceptance, to promote and provide justice for others, and the importance of helping those in need. Thank you.”

She was natural, spontaneous and came across as a genuine personality competing for the title of Miss World. She did not limited the qualities of a perfect Miss World to herself but rather talked of how she could take the advocacy to yet another praiseworthy level even without explicitly mentioning it.

Meanwhile, have a look at other crown winning answers of 2016:

Miss Earth 2016- Katherin Espin from Ecuador

“The Paris agreement on climate change is a historic international deal that seeks to limit global warming to below 1.5 degrees centigrade. If you were selected as Miss Earth 2016, what would be your program to protect Mother Earth from climate change?”

Katherine answered: “I truly believe in the 5 R’s, which is re-think, reduce, re-use, recycle and Respect. Because I believe that as human beings, if we apply that to our everyday lives, we can make a change, and we will reduce the problem that we just mentioned. If we apply that to our everyday lives, I believe that we… can save the place we live in which is our Mother Earth.”

Miss Grand International 2016- Ariska Putri Pertiwi

“If given the chance to choose between the two to stop the war, will it be Donald Trump or Hilary Clinton”.

Ariska Puteri’s winning answer was about choosing Hilary Clinton. She believed that Hilary Clinton and she could make a big impact to fight against war. With Hilary as the future commander-in-chief of the United States if she wins, she along with Ariska could be the ambassadress of peace, they could significantly make a big difference to stop the war. Ariska said that she will show Hilary how to use her stance as the new Miss Grand International to help solve atrocities around the world.
