India’s Hatrick in National Costume Segment at Miss United Continents
Lopamudra Raut from India has made a history by winning the Best National Costume at Miss United Continents 2016 for the third consecutive time for her country. During the same event, María Cecilia Drouet Contreras from Ecuador was titled as the first runner up and Ana María Landaeta Gordillo from Colombia was adjudged as the second runner up.
Lopamudra Raut’s National Costume was designed by none other than Melvyn Dominic Noronha, who has already bedazzled the world with India’s unique yet wonderful culture through his impressive National Costumes which have won many accolades at international platforms.
This is India’s third win at the National Costume segment of Miss United Continents. In 2014, Gail Nicole D’Silva started the streak by grabbing the award of Best National Costume followed by Sushrii Shreya Mishra in 2015.
Miss United Continents 2016, is the 4th edition of Miss United Continents and is slated to take place on September 24, 2016 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. During the conclusion of Miss United Continents 2016, Nathália Lago from Brazil will pass on her crown to her successor.
