Rewati Chetri Crowned Senorita India 2016
Rewati Chetri was crowned Senorita India 2016 on September 11, 2016 at Novotel Hotel in Pune, Maharashtra. Rewati Chetri succeeds Miss International India 2015, Supriya Aiman and will now represent India at Miss International 2016, hoping to get crowned by the reigning queen, Edymar Martinez of Venezuela.
Rewati Chetri has already represented India at World Miss University, wherein she was titled as Miss Asia. She has been a known face in the world of pageantry via Femina Miss India 2015, wherein she was adjudged as Miss Popular.
At the same event, Aarushi Sharma was crowned as Miss Intercontinental India 2016. Aarushi Sharma will represent India at Miss Intercontinental 2016, which is slated to take place next month in Sri Lanka.
India has never won Miss International crown but has won two Miss Intercontinental crowns through Elizabeth Anita Reddi and Lara Dutta in 1978 and 1997 respectively.
