Charlene Leslie Crowned Miss Aruba 2016
Charlene Leslie was crowned as Miss Aruba 2016 on August 20, 2016 in the Grand Ballroom of the prestigious Hilton Aruba Resort & Casino. Charlene Leslie succeeds Miss Universe Aruba 2015, Alysha Boekhoudt, and will now represent Aruba in the coming edition of Miss Universe 2016 pageant later this year, wherein Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of Philippines will pass on her crown to her successor.
During the coronation gala of Miss Aruba 2016, Lynette Do Nascimento was crowned as Miss World Aruba 2016 and Chimay Ramos was titled as Miss Grand Aruba 2016. Lynette Do Nascimento will represent Aruba at Miss World 2016 in Washington, DC, United States of America and Chimay Ramos will represent Aruba at Miss Grand International 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America.
A dietician by profession, the newly crowned Miss Universe Aruba, Charlene Leslie is 6′ feet tall. The 23 years old beauty will now vie at Miss Universe 2016 pageant with the women across the globe to take home Aruba’s first Miss Universe crown.
Aruba’s highest placement at Miss Universe pageant came under the representation of Taryn Scheryl Mansell at Miss Universe 1996. Since then no delegate from Aruba made through the semi-finals of Miss Universe pageant.
