Crowned as Mrs Tiara India Heritage International 2016 few months back, Mrunal Gaikwad is all set to represent India at Mrs Heritage International 2016. In an exclusive interview with The Kaleidoscope of Pageantry, Mrunal Gaikwad discusses about her goals and ambitions for the forthcoming journey. Have a look!
Hello, Mrunal! Heartiest congratulations on being crowned as Mrs Tiara India Heritage International 2016. How does it feel to have won the crown?
I feel like a complete woman today. I would like to thank Mrs. Tiara Jury & organizers for giving me such wonderful stage to showcase power of “Womanhood”. This is like giving birth to a new female within a married woman; who still have life and can do wonders. I Mrs. Tiara India Heritage International 2016 am feeling proud of myself today; and I hope to carry forward and nurture our nation’s heritage to an international level.
How are you celebrating this moment of ecstasy?
I would have very few days to celebrate and this win has come with sense of responsibilities. I have to make use of this platform to spread more awareness of our national heritage to international level. I have lot more to learn about this diversified country.
How did you react when you earned the crown and title, and ultimately the right to represent your country at Mrs Heritage International pageant? What was your first reaction?
Seriously it came as a shock to me; I did not believe at the first go when my National Director (Rushikesh) called me to know that he would like me to represent our country to an International Pageant. I stopped in middle of a shopping mall and started jumping and tears rolled down, when my husband got to know about this, he was super excited. I am really grateful to Miss Tiara India for giving me this opportunity to compete at Mrs. Heritage Global 2016.
Tell us something about your veiled personality. When did you first realize to walk on the alleyway of pageantry?
Mrunal as a person is very out spoken and always wants to be in limelight. I always wanted to do something which would help me bring some change to the society. I come from very small village in India where glamour world is not for us. However since childhood I was always encouraged by my parents and after marriage the same motivation was given by my husband from where I perceived my dreams and then ventured into world of pageantry.
When you initially embarked on the journey of pageantry, what were the challenges you faced? How did you managed to overcome all the intricacies?
It was a regional pageant where I showed some courage to participate, I had nothing to do as my kid started schooling and I did not wanted to go for a routine job. I was not very sure where I am going, as there were participants who were way ahead of me in confidence level and in nurturing themselves. I never looked behind I fought every odds. I boosted up my confidence and finally I came out as the winner.
Who is your source of inspiration and how has he/she helped you to evolve as a beauty queen?
For me the biggest inspiration is my Mom; after my father she has played a dual role and inspired me and my brother in every aspect of life. She has taught us to be strong in every situation which has always helped me. Then comes my husband & in-laws; as in India after marriage it is very necessary to suffice all responsibilities of a wife, mom and afterwards think of oneself, however in my case I have got immense support and they have always inspired me to achieve what I believe. Also, I am now attached to an organization which is helping me with necessary activities to evolve as a beauty queen.
What is the most important feature according to you, which every beauty queen must possess?
Empathy is what I feel every beauty queen should have; a person with empathy is a good human being with good heart. After all whatever you give to universe comes back to you, so if she is good to others good things will happen to her.
What message would you like to give to the pageant enthusiasts reading this interview?
I would like to say that believe in yourself as the only person who can change the world around you is “YOU”. Think positive and give as much as you can to society and you will receive it one day. If your intentions are good nobody in this world would stop you of being a winner.
