Hawa Kamara Crowned Miss Universe Sierra Leone 2016

Hawa Kamara was crowned as Miss Universe Sierra Leone 2016 on July 29, 2016 at Miatta Conference Hall, Freetown. Hawa Kamara is the debut contestant from Sierra Leone at the Miss Universe pageant. She will now represent her nation in the coming edition of Miss Universe 2016 pageant later this year, wherein Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of Philippines will pass on her crown to her successor.

Eleven candidates vied for the title of Miss Universe Sierra Leone 2016. Hawa Kamara is a renowned pageant veteran, who was crowned as Miss West Africa International back in 2013.
