Miss Venezuela 2016- Road To Crown!
Miss Venezuela 2016 is scheduled to take place on October 6, 2016 in Caracas, Venezuela. During the conclusion of Miss Venezuela 2016, the reigning Miss Universe Venezuela, Mariam Habach, Miss International Venezuela, Jessica Durate and Miss Earth Venezuela, Andrea Rosales Castillejos will pass on their crowns to their respective successors.
The winners of Miss Venezuela 2016 will represent the country at Miss Universe 2017, Miss International 2017 and Miss Earth 2017. Let us have a closer look at the women who are vying to wear the strongest sash in pageantry, “Venezuela!”
Venezuela is the most successful country in the history of international pageantry, having acquired maximum number of international crowns, more than any other country. Venezuela is the only country to have registered the record of winning back to back Miss Universe crown through Stefania Fernandez and Dayana Mendoza.
Under the direction of Osmel Sousa, Venezuela has accumulated seven Miss Universe winners, six Miss World winners, seven Miss International winners and two Miss Earth winners.
Guárico is the most successful state in terms of winning Miss Venezuela pageant.
Venezuela is placing at Miss Universe pageant consecutively since last five years and has even won the seventh Miss Universe crown in 2013 through Gabriela Isler. 2013 was also the year when Venezuela entered in Top 5 straight for another year after Irene Esser was adjudged as second runner up at Miss Universe 2012.
Last year Mariana Jimenez became the Top 10 finalist at Miss Universe pageant while Edymar Martinez went on to win the seventh Miss International crown for Venezuela. On the other hand, Miss Earth Venezuela, Andrea Carolina Rosales Castillejos went on to grab Top 8 finalist position at Miss Earth held in Vienna, Austria last December.
