Luisa Andrea Soemitha Crowned Miss Earth Indonesia 2016

Luisa Andrea Soemitha was crowned Miss Earth Indonesia 2016 on August 5, 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Luisa Andrea Soemitha succeeds  Belinda Pritasari Jacobsen, Miss Earth Indonesia 2015 and will now represent Indonesia in the coming edition of Miss Earth, hoping to be crowned by Angelia Gabrena Ong of Philippines.

This year twenty eight candidates competed for the title of Miss Earth Indonesia 2016. During the coronation gala of Miss Earth Indonesia 2016, Asti Wulan was titled as Miss Earth Indonesia Air 2016, Aura Ferbiyannisa was adjudged as Miss Earth Indonesia Water 2016 and Annisa Meidina finished as Miss Earth Indonesia Fire 2016.

At the same event, Hanny Wulandari Darma was crowned Miss Eco-Tourism Indonesia 2016. She will now represent Indonesia at Miss Eco Tourism 2016.

Indonesia has been participating at Miss Earth pageant since a long time but has not earned a placement yet.
