Ashley Hamilton Crowned Miss World Bahamas 2016
Ashley Hamilton, Miss Long Island was crowned Miss World Bahamas 2016 on July 24, 2016 at Melia Nassau Beach. Ashley Hamilton succeeds Miss World Bahamas 2015, Chantel O’Brian and will now represent Bahamas in the coming edition of Miss World 2016, hoping to be crowned by Mireia Lalaguna Royo of Spain.
During the coronation night of Miss World Bahamas 2016, Miss Paradise Island, Pischia Adderley was adjudged as the first runner up and Miss Cat Island, Rotalya Williams was titled as the second runner up.
The coronation eve witnessed the live performances by Dyson Knight, Ronnie Butler and Julien Believe.
Ashley Hamilton was playing her cards well since the day one of Miss World Bahamas 2016 competition. Not only she won the National Costume segment with her attire named, “Long Island Beach”, but she also made her spot secure in the Top 3 finalists of Swimsuit and Top Model Round.
This year total ten contestants competed to win the title of Miss World Bahamas. Bahamas started participating at Miss World pageant in 2005. Braneka Bassett was the last woman from Bahamas to place at Miss World in the year 2010, wherein she was adjudged as the Top 25 quarter-finalist.
