Madeleine Crowe Crowned Miss World Australia 2016
Madeleine Crowe from Queensland was crowned as Miss World Australia 2016 on July 22, 2016 at Crown Palladium in Melbourne. Madeline Crowe succeeds Tess Alexander, Miss World Australia 2015, and will now represent Australia at Miss World 2016, hoping to be crowned by Mireia Lalaguna Royo of Spain.
Madeline Crowe is not a new face to pageant enthusiasts as she is still remembered for her great performance at Miss Universe Australia 2015 pageant, where she was adjudged as the first runner up.
During the coronation gala of Miss World Australia 2016, Asma Voloder was titled as the first runner-up, Amy Lee was adjudged as the second runner-up, Tasha Ross was announced as the third runner-up and Anna Mcevoy finished as the fourth runner-up.
Belinda Green, Miss World 1972 is the last woman from Australia to have won the Miss World crown. Last year Tess Alexander was adjudged as the Top 10 finalist at Miss World pageant along with winning the title of Continental Queen of Oceania. Australia is consecutively placing at the Miss World pageant since 2011.
