Courtney Pelot Crowned Miss Wisconsin 2016
Courtney Pelot, Miss Green Bay Area was crowned Miss Wisconsin 2016 on June 25, 2016 at Alberta Kimball Auditorium. Courtney Pelot succeeds Rosalie Elizabeth Smith and will now compete in the coming edition of Miss America 2017, hoping to be crowned as next Miss America by the reigning beauty queen, Betty Cantrell from Georgia.
After winning the crown, the ecstatic beauty queen said, “I can’t even explain it; I am so excited,” Pelot said. “This is my first year competing at state. I had competed (locally) two years before. (Miss Green Bay Area) is the first local title I’ve ever won, so I can’t believe that I won the state title and am going to Miss America.”
