Kristína Činčurová Crowned Miss World Slovak Republic 2016
Kristína Činčurová was crowned as Miss Slovensko 2016 on April 29, 2016. She succeeds Lujza Straková, Miss World Slovak Republic 2015 and will now represent her country in the upcoming edition of Miss World 2016. During the grand coronation gala, Michaela Meňkyová was adjudged as Miss International Slovak Republic 2016 and Lenka Tekeljaková was titled as Miss Supranational Slovak Republic 2016.

This year, the Miss Slovakia organization introduced a charity project, called, “Heart For Children”, the amount of funds raised by the contestants during the pageant will go for the donation of this project.
In the history of 24 years, Slovak Republic has placed only once at Miss World with Karolína Chomisteková at Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia. The nation is yet to find its second placement at the world’s most philanthropic and appreciated pageant, Miss World. Miss Slovensko was formed in 1993 after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. From 1993 to 1995, the organization selected representatives to Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss International.
