Priyanka Chopra, Miss World 2000 Honoured with Padma Shri
Priyanka Chopra has been awarded with the Padma Shri award today on 12th April 2016 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee in the capital city, New Delhi. The Padma Shri award is India’s fourth highest civilian honour. Formerly, Miss World 1994, Aishwarya Rai was also honoured with the Padma Shri.
After being felicitated with the lustrous honour, Miss World 2000, Priyanka Chopra beaming with ecstasy told the paparazzi, “This is the best award I have ever received. Thank you so much. I am grateful.”
Priyanka Chopra is currently shooting for her Hollywood movie, “Baywatch” in Los Angeles. She flew back to India especially to receive the honour of Padma Shri. While gracing the phenomenal event, Priyanka Chopra was seen garbing a lemon yellow saree.
