The Asian countries in 2015 not only marked a laudable venture, but also managed to shine out at international arena by bagging two major international crowns! The stars of Asia was brightest in 2015, but who were the most commendable Asian knights in 2015, let’s have a look!

Valerie Abou Chacra

Valerie Abou Chacra was one of the most gorgeous personalities, Lebanon ever sent to Miss World! Apart from being the first Lebanese lady to place in the Top 5 of Miss World, Valerie is also a Lebanese actress, radio announcer and model. During Miss World 2015, Valerie topped the interview round, and looked strikingly captivating as she walked the finale stage. Her effervescent personality, exuberant stage presence and outstanding charisma make her one of the honorable mentions in Asian luminaries of 2015.


Phạm Hồng Thúy Vân

Phạm Hồng Thúy Vân is the first woman from Vietnam to bring Vietnam at Top 5 final spot of any international pageant. The renowned editor of Chuyen dong 24h (24 hours’ movement) TV program of Vietnam Television (VTV) and an English lecturer, Thuy Van gifted her nation with an accolade which was long awaited. She is definitely one of the most loved beauty queens of 2015, asserting that Vietnam would be taken gravely in coming years.


Vartika Singh

The first Indian woman to place at Miss Grand International, Vartika Singh won the hearts when she was crowned as second runner up at Miss Grand International 2015. Vartika has an ensnaring charm in her personality which makes her ever glowing radiance. Vartika Singh has been part of her state Uttar Pradesh World Bank’s Health Care Project. She has been awarded by Uttar Pradesh government for her initiatives to nutrition and health of women and children and having promoted digital literacy. She is also the face of “Mera Lucknow” Project. Now many of her fans want to see her at Miss Universe, who knows she may get India’s third Miss Universe crown!


Angelia Ong

To win a back to back crown for Miss Earth came up with lots of challenges for Angelia Ong. Not only she became the first Miss Earth to mark a back to back victory at the pageant, but also adorned her nation with third Miss Earth crown. Presently, she has graced many environmental awareness raising workshops and events.


Maria Harfanti

Maria Harfanti was the brightest diamond sent by Indonesia at an international pageant in 2015. Other than being a beauty queen, Maria is a wonderful pianist and a revolutionary social activist. A management student presently, Maria has a heart of gold and a mind of diamond! During Miss World 2015, she was awarded as the winner of “Beauty with A Purpose” challenge event, with her project, bringing clean water source closer to people suffered from water crisis, building community toilets, and giving education about the importance of sanitation in Kamancing Village, Pandeglang, Banten. She was also Top 7 in Interview, Top 10 in World Fashion Designer Award, Top 13 in Talent, Top 15 in Multimedia and Top 25 People’s Choice Award. She became the first Indonesian woman to earn the highest placement by becoming 2nd runner up at Miss World 2015.

The beauty of Universe needs no introduction! From raising awareness about HIV to gracing New York Fashion Week, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is making the most of her reign as Miss Universe 2015. Pia Wurtzbach is not only the third Filipino to win the prestigious Miss Universe crown but is also an inspiration to mankind as she highlights the spirit of perseverance, humbleness and graciousness. She reflects that nothing is impossible with passion and hard work, hence she is the Asian Queen of 2015!
