Candice Abrahams from South Africa Crowned Mrs World 2016
Candice Abrahams from South Africa was crowned as Mrs World 2016 by the outgoing titleholder, Marina Alekseichik from Belarus on 12th March 2016 in Goodview Hotel Tangxia, Dongguan, China. Candice Abrahams becomes the first Mrs World from South Africa in the 23rd edition of Mrs World.
The event was hosted by Bonang Matheba and produced by leading show producer, Jan Malan. The grand finale witnessed the musical entertainment by electrical string quartet, The Muses.
Candice Abrahams, who is also a model, fashion blogger is the wife of famous radio personality, Ismail Abrahams, who expressed his happiness on twitter as soon as Candice was crowned. Candice Abrahams loves boxing, dancing, karaoke, yoga and reading.
This year Mrs World 2016 witnessed the battle amidst 46 contestants. At the same event, Riandi Conradie was crowned Mrs Charity 2016 and Pamela Marlowe won the Mrs Personality title, voted for by her fellow contestants.
After winning the crown, Mrs World 2016 said: “What an honour to be able to bring the Mrs World crown home to South Africa. It has always been a dream of mine to win Mrs South Africa and to represent my country on the international stage; to be bringing home the title is just the cherry on top of my achievements over the last year.”
